D’éirigh go geal lenár gcéad Aonach Gairme scoile aréir. Bhí an-áthas orainn ár ndoirse a oscailt d’ionadaithe ó DCU, UCD, Ollscoil Mhá Nuad, Institiúid Oideachais Marino, NCAD, TU BÁC, Coláiste na Trionóide, Coláiste Dhún Bóinne FET agus Cathal Brugha FET a dheonaigh a gcuid ama agus saineolais go fial flaithiúil dúinn. Labhair siad lenár gcuid scoláirí faoi chúrsaí, saol na hollscoile agus deiseanna fostaíochta a d’fheadfadh a bheith ar fáil dóibh, eolas a sheasfaidh dóibh nuair atá cinntí le déanamh amach anseo.
Le linn na hoíche, bhí deis ag scoláirí agus tuismitheoirí éisteacht le cur i láthair ó aoichainteoirí spreagúla (idir tuismitheoirí agus iarscoláirí) a oibríonn i réimsí éagsúla gairmeacha ar nós eolaíocht fhóiréinseach, an t-arm, eacnamaíoch, leigheas agus neart eile. Thug gach aoichainteoir léargas uathúil, rud a spreag ár scoláirí machnamh a dhéanamh ar na bealaí éagsúla atá ar fáil dóibh sa todhchaí.
Bhí sé go hálainn cuid dár n-iarscoláirí a fheiceáil ar ais sa scoil chun tacú leis an ócáid agus a dtaithí a roinnt. Chuir láithreacht tuismitheoirí agus iarscoláirí go mór le rath na hoíche agus léirigh sibh fíor-spiorad na scoile.
A huge thank you to everyone who made our first Career Fair such a fantastic and memorable event last night.
We were delighted to welcome representatives from DCU, UCD, Maynooth University, Marino Institute of Education, TU Dublin, NCAD, Dunboyne College FET and Cathal Brugha FET – all of whom generously gave their time to speak with students about courses, college life, and future career opportunities. Their insights were invaluable and greatly appreciated by all who attended.
Throughout the evening, students and parents also had the chance to hear from a variety of guest speakers working across a wide range of career sectors, including forensic science, the army, economics, medicine and many more. Each speaker brought a unique perspective and inspired our students to explore the many paths available to them after school.
It was particularly heartwarming to see so many parents taking part on the night and past pupils return to support the event and share their experiences. Your presence helped make the evening a huge success and a real celebration of our school community.
We would also like to thank our current students thay helped on the night making tea and sure technology was working correctly.
Thank you once again to everyone who participated and supported the event—we are so grateful for your time and enthusiasm!
