PONCÚLACHT (Punctuality)

 

Úsáideann na scoláirí cárta tinrimh gach maidin ag teacht isteach príomhdhoras na scoile. Tabharafar an cárta dóibh agus iad ag tosú sa Choláiste ach má chailltear é cosnóidh ceann nua €12.00.

  • Má bhíonn scoláire déanach ba chóir dó/di síniú isteach ag an oifig agus cuirtear stampa sa
  • Má bhíonn scoláire déanach agus mura bhfuil síniú sa dialann a thaispeánann gur shínigh an scoláire isteach saphríomhoifig ba chóir don mhúinteoir iarraidh ar an scoláire dul ag an bpríomhoifig le síniú isteach.
  • Má bhíonn an scoláire déanach don dara uair sa mhí gan nóta ó bhaile AR AN LÁ beidh air/uirthi fanacht siar a dhéanamh Dé hAoine idir 13.15 agus 15.
  • Ina dhiaidh sin aon uair sa mhí go mbíonn an scoláire déanach gan nóta beidh air/uirthi fanacht siar a dhéanamh Dé hAoine ar feadh dhá uair an
  • Mura bhfanann scoláire siar ar an lá cuí beidh air/uirthi fanacht siar a dhéanamh faoi dhó agus mura ndéanann an scoláire é seo cuirfear ar fionraí inmheánach é/í an Luan dar
  • Cuirfidh an múinteoir ranga, ceann bliana nó an múinteoir i gceannas ar phoncúlacht nóta sa dialann chuige sin agus caithfidh an scoláire síníu a fháil ar an nóta ag tuismitheoir/caomhnóir.
  • Má tá scoláire ag teacht go rialta le nóta leithscéil de bharr poncúlachta ní ghlacfar ach le dhá nóta in aghaidh na seachtaine. I ndiaidh sin socrófar cruinniú idir an tuismitheoir/caomhnóir agus an ceann bliana chun an fhadhb a phlé.

I rith an lae

  • Má tá coinne ag scoláire le Comhairleoir/Séiplíneach nó le haon duine eile ba chóir nóta a bheith sa dialann/Aip agus ba chóir don scoláire cead a fháil ón múinteoir ábhair roimhré ach amháin i gcásanna eisceachtúla.
  • Má bhíonn scoláire déanach i rith an lae gan chúis ba chóir na treoracha thuas a leanúint.

 

The students use an attendance card each morning coming in the main school door. They will be given a card when they begin in the Coláiste, but if they misplace it a replacement card will cost €12.00.

  • If a student is late in the morning he/she must sign in at the office and have his/her journal
  • If a student is late and there is no stamp in the journal to indicate that he/she has signed in the teacher should send him/her to the office to do
  • If a student is late for the second time in a month without a note from home ON THE DAY he/she will be detained on the following Friday from 15 – 14.15
  • On each subsequent occasion following the first occasion the student will be detained for two hours after school on the following
  • If the student does not complete the detention on the appointed day he/she will have to attend two dententions and if that is not completed the student will be on internal suspension the following Monday.
  • The class tutor, year head or the teacher in charge of punctuality will put a note in the journal regarding the detention and the student must make sure that it is signed by a parent/guardian.
  • If a student is continually coming late to school with a note, only two notes in any one week will be accepted. After that ameeting will be arranged with the parent/guardian and the year head to discuss the

 

 

During the day

  • If a student has an appointment with a staff member the student should have a note of explanation in the journal/App and request permission beforehand from the relevant teacher except in exceptional circumstances.

  • Má tá scoláire as láthair gheobhaidh an tuismitheoir téasc faoi sin i gcaitheamh na
  • De réir Acht um Leas na bPáistí (2000) tá sé de dhualgas ar an gColáiste An Bord Náisiúnta Leasa Oideachais a chur ar an eolas má tá scoláire as láthair 20 lá nó níos mó is cuma cén chúis.
  • Cuirfear tuismitheoir/caomhnóir ar an eolas nuair atá scoláire tar éis a bheith as láthair 15 lá agus arís nuair a chuirtear ainm an scoláire ag Oifigeach Leas na bPáistí.
  • Tá sé de dhualgas ar an gColáiste míniú i scríbhinn a fháil maidir le haon lá go mbíonn scoláire as láthair.
  • Taobh amuigh den dlí, tá sé tábhachtach go mbeadh tinreamh leanúnach ag scoláirí ar mhaithe le dul chun cinn agus le dea-nósanna tinrimh a chothú.
  • Má chailleann scoláire níos mó ná 20 lá in aon bhliain beidh ar an scoláire le tuismitheoir/caomhnóir bualadh leis an bpríomhoide le cás a dhéanamh le dul isteach sa chéad bhliain eile. I gcásanna áirithe cuirfear an cás seo faoi bhráid an Bhord Bainistíochta.
  • Ba chóir aon nóta tinrimh a thaispeáint don mhúinteoir ranga ag am clárú ar an gcéad lá ar ais ar scoil/nó ar an Aip agus coinnítear taifead fúthu. Geobhaidh scoláire droch nóta muna bhfuil nóta mínithe
  • Meabhraítear go mbíonn scrúdaithe an tsamhraidh ar siúl i gconaí ar an tseachtain deireanach don scoil bhliain. Ní mór do gach scólaire a bheith i láthair. Ní dhéanfar freastal ar aon scoláire a théann ar laethanta saoire le linn am scrúduithe. Freisin, bíonn MRBanna ag dul ar aghaidh le linn na
  • Tá sé de dhualgas ar an scoláire agus túismitheoirí/caomhnóirí a bheith ar an eolas faoi na dátaí sin agus an obair thábhachtach déanta in am don tSraith Shóisearach.

 

Attendance

 

  • If a student is absent the parent will receive a text durng the course of the
  • According to the Child Welfare Act (2000) the school is obliged to report any student who is absent for 20 days or more to the National Educational Welfare Board regardless of the reason for the

  • Besides the law it is very important for students to have continuous good attendance in the interest of progress and of fostering good attendance
  • If a student is absent for 20 days or more in one year the student with the parent/guardian will have to meet with theprincipal to discuss the situation before registering for the following In certain circumstances this case will be brought before the Board of Management for consideration.
  • Any note regarding attendance should be shown to the class tutor during registration on the first day after returing to school/or on the App and a record is kept of same.

 

AG TEACHT DÉANACH/AG FÁGÁIL LUATH NÓ I RITH A LAE

 

Iarrtar ar scoláirí/ar thuismitheoirí/caomhnóirí, chomh fada agus is féidir gan coinnithe a dhéanamh i rith am scoile. Sna cásanna nach bhfuil aon dul as:

  • Ba chóir nóta le cúis a bheith sa dialann/App agus é seo a thaispeáint don mhúinteoir ranga / ceann bliana

/ príomhoide tánaisteach / príomhoide. The student will receive a bad note if they don’t have an explanatory note.

  • Ba chóir don scoláire síniú amach/isteach ag an bpríomhoifig.
  • Please remember that summer exams always take place during the final week of the school year. Students must be in attendance. The school cannot accommodate students who go abroad during this Additionally, thereare important dates for CBAs during the academic year.

Arriving late/Leaving early or during the day

 

Students/Parents/Guardians are requested to make appointments outside school time insofar as possible. When this is not possible:

  • The student should have a note of explanation in the journal/Appfrom a parent/guardian and this should be shown to the class tutor / year head / deputy principal /
  • The student should sign in/out at the main

If a student leaves the school, class or grounds of the school without permission from the relevant person in the school, the student must make up double the time lost, before or after school.
